We are pleased to announce and invite you to join us for this year’sYouth Session held on Day 2, Saturday, November 22, from 2:20 pm to 3:20 pm.

Youth Session
Five groups of undergraduate students from the University of Tokyo and leading Korean universities will share their ideas and perspectives on “Rethinking Capitalism.” Over the past several months, they have taken part in an international collaborative project, engaging in rigorous and lively discussions that explore this complex theme.

In August, the students met for the first time in South Korea, beginning their team-building and academic journey. Alongside lectures and group work on capitalism, they carried out fieldwork in Seoul’s Seongsu District—an area that has evolved from a cluster of shoe factories into a trendy shopping destination—and visited companies developing technologies for people with visual impairments.

The Youth Session has been a platform for students to present ideas that address the challenges of our time. Their fresh—and sometimes out-of-the-box—perspectives have been eye-opening for many. This year, they take on the theme of “Rethinking Capitalism,” shedding light on the unsettling issues and questions that surround everyday life.

Dr. Yoshioka from UTokyo’s Center for Global Education says, “The students will be working until the last minute, refining ideas that are sure to be thought-provoking and inspiring.”

We look forward to seeing you at the Youth Session—don’t miss it!
