Professor Yonemura specializes civil law and medical law. His research subjects are (a) theoretical analysis of tort liability (esp. causation, liabilities without fault), (b) structure of personality right, (c) several issues on medical malpractice (informed consent, standard of medical negligence, infringement of possibility, and so on), (d) regulation of biomedical research, (e) legal issues on personal information (esp. medical information). He published a textbook of medical law (2016), and he was an editor of an academic proposition on the legal regulation of biomedical research (2018). He has a title of MD and Certified Physician (Japanese Society of Internal Medicine).
