PROFILE
Hiroshi Ohashi is associate dean at Graduate School of Public Policy, and also professor of Economics, the University of Tokyo. His areas of research include industrial organization, and economic policy. Dr. Ohashi previously taught at Sauder School of Business, University of British Columbia, Canada. He has been a chief researcher at Competition Policy Research Center at Japan Fair Trade Commission, a faculty fellow and program director at the Research Institute of Economy, Trade & Industry, and served a head research officer at the National Institute of Science and Technology Policy in the MEXT. He has been awarded among others, First Miyazawa Kenichi Memorial Prize (Fair Trade Association, 2012), Jiro Enjoji Memorial Prize (Nikkei Newspaper, 2012), and Ishikawa Prize (Japan Economic Association, 2014). He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Northwestern University, and a M.A. and B.A. from the University of Tokyo.
