PROFILE
Yongsoo Huh is CEO of GS Energy. He resides in Seoul, South Korea.
GS Group is separated from LG Group in 2005 after long partnership between Huh and Koo family. The business domains for GS Group include energy, retail, trading and construction. As a family owner of GS Group, Yongsoo was responsible for Group strategy, M&A and portfolio management until 2012. He also was responsible for GS Group’s new energy initiative which includes Gas, Powerplants, and E&P as a EVP of GS Energy until 2016. He was CEO of GS EPS, Korea’s largest independent power producer, for 2017~2108. He serves the boards of GS Caltex.
Yongsoo serves as the board member of Korea National Museum Society, Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra, Korea National Contemporary Dance Company and American Ballet Theater, a Chairman of Korea National Ballet Society, International council member of Serpentein Galleries in London. He is also the board of advisors for Georgetown University Mcdonough School of Business and International Advisory Board member of Atlantic Council.
Yongsoo received a BSBA from Georgetown University’s Mcdonough School of Business and a EMBA from Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology.
