PROFILE
Yoon Kim is the Chairman of Samyang Holdings Corporation in Korea. He assumed the role of President and CEO on September 1996 and was elected Chairman of the Board on March 2004.
He started careers at Louis Dreyfus Co. US and Bando Trading Co, Korea. He joined Samyang in 1985 where he continued his overseas career through working in Tokyo Branch. The great wealth of his global business experiences have led him to lead the Overseas Business Division in 1995 as a Executive Vice president.
Over his 35 years at Samyang, he has served as Chairman of Korea-Japan Cooperation Foundation for Industry and Technology, where he helped drive and execute many of the Korean company’s investment area and strategy shifts in cooperation with Japan entrepreneurs; Vice Chairman &The Business and Industry Advisory Committee to the OECD; Vice Chairman of The Federation of Korean Industries; and Chairman of Korea-Japan Economic Association, where he was instrumental in helping build the Korea-Japan economic cooperation.
In recognition of the above services Mr. Kim was awarded a Gold Tower of the Order of Industrial Service Merit, the country’s highest Order for business leaders by Korea Government, 2007. Also, he was honored a Grand Cordon of the Order of the Rising Sun in Japan, 2018.
Mr. Kim received his bachelor’s degree in Business from Korea University and a Master of Business Administration from Monterey Institute of International Studies in USA.
