SAKURA Osamu

Dr. Osamu Sakura is Professor of Interfaculty Initiative in Information Studies at the University of Tokyo since 2007. He earned his Ph.D. in 1990 from the Graduate School of Science at Kyoto University. He had worked as a postdoctoral fellow at Mitsubishi Kasei Institute of Life Sciences, an associate professor at the Department of Business Administration at Yokohama National University, a visiting researcher at the Institute of Computer Science and Social Studies at Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg in Germany, and an associate professor at the Interfaculty Initiative in Information Studies at the University of Tokyo. He also serves as a team leader of RIKEN Center for Advanced Intelligence Project (AIP) since 2017. His main research is the studies of science, technology and society.
