Ari Horie is the Founder & CEO of Women’s Startup Lab (WSLab), which for 10 years has been a leading Silicon Valley Accelerator with a uniquely designed program for women entrepreneurs with tech startups and corporate innovators. She graduated from California State University in 1997 and worked for IBM in the US.
Attracting top influencers in the valley, WSLab has been a driving force to change the face of venture and provides strong support to elevate women’s success in the tech world.At the request of corporate clients who have witnessed the results of the entrepreneurs from the accelerator, Ari and her team pioneered a corporate innovation offering, Hito Institute, for the
innovation of people.
Ari has been recognized around the globe for her achievements, receiving numerous awards, speaking engagement and media coverages, including being named one of CNN’s 10 Visionary Women of 2014, Marie Claire’s “20 Women Changing the Ratio,” and Entrepreneur Magazine's "100 Powerful Women on 2020" On March 8, 2022, she was named “A woman who breaks boundaries and gives hope to the next generation.''
As a member of the "Role Model" series from Mattel, known for Barbie dolls, she is the first Japanese entrepreneur to be selected. In 2022, the Japan not for profit arm of Ari's organization began, Women's Startup Lab Impact Foundation - Japan. With this organization, known as Amelias, Ari has inspired innovation in women and high school students across Japan, with sponsorship from the U.S. Department of State, cities across Japan and known as part of the METI J-StarX initiative.
