AIHARA Hiroaki

AIHARA Hiroaki is Executive Vice President of the University of Tokyo. He has a long career in the university administration. He served as Executive Director and Vice President from 2015 to 2021, Executive Vice President from 2014 to 2015, and Dean of School of Science from 2012 to 2014. He has been a member of the Association for the Promotion of Research Integrity since 2016. He had been a council member of Science Council of Japan 2011 to 2017. He had also been a staff scientist from1988 to 1995 at Lawrence Berkeley National Lab. Immediately after he obtained Ph.D. in experimental particle physics from University of Tokyo he joined School of Science at University of Tokyo as assistant professor in 1984 and became full professor in 2003.
