PROFILE
SATO Yasuhiro has been Senior Advisor since June 2022. Before then, he was a Member of the Board of Directors since April 2022 and Chairman of Mizuho Financial Group since April 2018. He was appointed President and Group Chief Executive Officer in June 2011. From April 2009 to March 2014, he was President and Chief Executive Officer of Mizuho Corporate Bank, which merged with Mizuho Bank in July 2013. Mr. SATO was also appointed Executive Member of the Council for Science, Technology and Innovation (CSTI) in March 2021. And he served as Vice Chair of Keidanren (Japan Business Federation) from June 2020 to May 2024. Mr. SATO graduated from the University of Tokyo in 1976 with a major in Economics.
