PROFILE
Marianne BERTRAND is the Chris P. Dialynas Distinguished Service Professor of Economics at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. She earned a Ph.D. in economics from Harvard University in 1998.
BERTRAND's research covers the fields of labor economics, corporate finance, political economy and development economics.
She is the Director of the Inclusive Economy Lab at the University of Chicago Urban Labs.
BERTRAND is a Research Fellow at the National Bureau of Economic Research and the Center for Economic Policy Research, a Fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences and of the Econometric Society, and a member of the National Academy of Sciences.
