MIMAKI Seiko

MIMAKI Seiko specializes in US politics and diplomacy. She received her BA, MA, and Ph.D. from the University of Tokyo, and was a visiting fellow at Harvard University , Johns Hopkins University, Assistant Professor at Kansai Gaidai University, and Associate Professor at Takasaki City University of Economics. Her publications include “Law Against Empire, or Law for Empire? – American Imagination and the International Legal Order in the Twentieth Century,” The Journal of Imperial and Commonwealth History (2021); and America’s Generation Z (NHK Publishing, 2023, Japanese). She is an occasional contributor to the Asahi Shimbun and Yahoo! Japan News.
