AOKI Setsuko

AOKI Setsuko is a Professor of the Chiba Institute of Technology, Japan and Professor Emerita of Keio University, Japan. She is a specialist in public international law especially in space law, arms control and export control. She obtained a Doctor of Civil Law (D.C.L.) from McGill University, Montreal, Canada in 1993. She is a member of the Committee on National Space Policy (CNSP), Cabinet Office of Japan from 2012-2022 and 2024 up to the present. She is a member of the International Institute of Space Law (IISL) (vice president 2017- 2023), International Academy of Astronautics (IAA) (since 2013) and International Law Association (ILA) (member of Space Law Committee) (since 2008).
