Serves as the 40th President of the Japan Society for Studies in Journalism and Mass Communication (June 2025 – June 2027).
Founding Director of the “AI and Society” program at the Beyond AI Research Promotion Organization, University of Tokyo.Collaborating Member of the Science Council of Japan.
Contributor to Kyodo News’ “Genron” column and Asahi Shimbun’s “Rondan Jihyō” column.
Has held various positions including Member of the Broadcasting Ethics & Program Improvement Organization (BPO) Human Rights Committee and Board Member of the Japan Society for Studies in Journalism and Mass Communication.
