PROFILE
Sharath Chandra Guntuku is an Associate Professor of Computer Science at the University of Pennsylvania, where he directs the Computational Social Listening Lab. Working across NLP, HCI, and health psychology, he measures how culture and psychological distress surface in language at scale, builds culturally attuned conversational agents for health, and tests them in randomized controlled trials. His research appears in EMNLP, CHI, CSCW, PNAS, and JAMA, and is supported by the World Bank and NIH.
