PROFILE
Dr. Arafat M. Shoukri is Senior Researcher at Al Jazeera Centre for Studies, specializing in international affairs, migration, Track II diplomacy, and EU-Middle East relations. He previously led corporate relations and communications at Al Jazeera Media Network. He holds an MA and PhD from the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London, and is the author of “Refugee Status in Islam”, published by I.B. Tauris.
