PROFILE
President of the Nippon Foundation Paralympic Support Center. Senior advisor to the Japan Foundation and Eminent Professor, Aoyama Gakuin University. Born in Tokyo in 1938. Graduate of the School of Law, University of Tokyo and the University of Cambridge (Faculty of Economics), United Kingdom. Entered the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan in 1962. Served as Ambassador stationed in Vietnam, South Korea and France, then as President of the Japan Foundation and later as Secretary General of the Council, the Tokyo 2020 Olympics and Paralympics Bid Committee.
