Surichai WUN'GAEO

After his post-graduate studies at the University of Tokyo, he joined a Department of Sociology and Anthropology, Chulalongkorn University. Later became Director of Chulalongkorn University’s Social Research Institute, Professor and, Emeritus Professor in 2012. He is chairperson of the Labor Rights Promotion Network Foundation, the Ecological Alert and Recovery Thailand Foundation, Mae Tao Clinic at Thai-Myanmar border, and Chair of Thailand’s and UNESCO-MOST Committee. His publications include Rural Livelihoods and Human Insecurities in Globalizing Asian Economies and, Thailand and COVID-19: Social Dynamics and Governance.
