PROFILE
Dr. LEE Heisook is the President of Korea Center for Gendered Innovations for Science and Technology Research(GISTeR), champions inclusive R&D by integrating gender dimension and co-organized the Gender Summit Asia Pacific and Gender Summit Global for SDGs in Seoul. A Mathematics professor at Ewha Women's University since 1980 and founding president of the Center of WISET, she pioneered the Returnee Program for career-interrupted women and a mentoring program for female STEM students, both of which have evolved into national HRD programs. Her current research focuses on AI for inclusive growth, and policy development for disseminating gendered innovations. She served on the Presidential Advisory Council on Science & Technology, and as Chief Editor of the Journal of KMS.
