ISHIHARA Hiroe

ISHIHARA Hiroe is an Associate Professor at the Graduate School of Frontier Sciences, the University of Tokyo, and a Pew Marine Fellow (2020-). Her research focuses on ecosystem services, biodiversity governance, and common-pool resource management, drawing on institutional economics and political ecology. She has contributed to the Intergovernmental Science-Policy Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services (IPBES) as a Collaborative Author for the Values Assessment (2022) and a Scoping Expert for the Second Global Assessment (2024).
